What does Edge 1 do?
Edge 1 is a datacenter and network management firm. In addition to our network management services, consulting services, and network hardware sales, we are a leading provider in service contract management, particularly Cisco SMARTnet.
When was Edge 1 founded?
Edge 1 has proudly been providing networking equipment, service contracts, and professional services since 2003.

Who are your clients?
Our client base consists of US Government agencies, local municipalities, educational entities, and corporations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500.
Do you offer special pricing and solutions for educational entities such as schools and colleges?
Yes, we are able to offer special discounting programs for networking equipment, licensing, service contracts, and consulting services for accredited educational entities. Additionally, we are able to pass along any special incentives and programs from any of the vendors we provide solutions from such as Microsoft, Cisco, Raritan, Barracuda Networks and more.
Does your staff have US Government security clearances and the ability to work on classified government projects?
Yes, we are able to provide consultancy services from our on-staff engineers who hold active DOD Top Secret and DOE Q clearances. Additional details can be requested by submitting an inquiry to gov@edge1.net.
CISCO SMARTnet & SERVICE CONTRACTS
How long does it take to activate a SMARTnet contract once I order from Edge 1?
All service contract orders are submitted to Cisco same day and typically activated that night. Slight delays can occour which may extend activation to 24-72 hours.
CISCO IOS & SOFTWARE LICENSING
How long does it take to get my license(s) once I order from Edge 1?
Most Cisco licenses are available via e-delivery within 24 hours of the order.
How long does it take to get my IOS software image(s) and license once I place an order?
IOS software images are typically published same day for download as soon as we receive a Cisco Sales order # back from Cisco. In addition you will receive a hard copy of your license within 14 days via standard physical delivery.
How long do Microsoft OPEN Licenses take to get delivered?
Microsoft OPEN Licenses are typically delivered via e-delivery within 24 hours or less.
Can Edge 1 help me install or activate my license(s)?
Yes. Our professional services team can help you activate and/or install any applicable licenses that we sell.
What happens if I misplace my license?
You can re-download a copy of any licenses you order from Edge 1 via our online customer portal 24/7/365.
